"The Abyss Of Emptiness portal was named by the Federation because of the E class effects on the human body. While traversing through this portal, although it only takes 1 second in Earth time, on the ship, it feels like a week has past. Our onboard sensors don't have the technology yet to counter the effects. In my opinion, there is another reason why they named it as such because of the euphoric and dreamy feeling you get while traveling through. The Federation doesn't want other ships near this location. We have special privileges though because of our Class 1 status and the specialty cargo that we carry. Oh what a feeling it is."
